In America, you tip nearly everyone and their dogs. When I first visited Spain, many many years ago I was surprised you didn’t need to leave a tip, the same goes for Australia when I first came over. Recently, however, I’ve seen some places with jars that say “Tip” or receipts with Gratuity blanks. I don’t think a tip is expected here but it’s weird to see it cropping up as I had posted earlier minimum wage is about double here than in the US. Amazing service should always be noted and rewarded but tipping for mediocre job performance, I’m not too thrilled about. Anyway, I had come across this picture and that’s what triggered this post.
