My eldest struggled with reading. He loved books a My eldest struggled with reading. He loved books and avidly went to the library to borrow books he didn’t own.  He loved being read to all the time but he just wouldn’t pick up a book to read it himself. He particularly loved Captain Underpants books at that time so I just didn’t get why he wouldn’t just read it himself. Until I gave him a Minecraft. I had combined his love of books with his love of Minecraft and, in just a couple of weeks, the reluctant reader became a non-stop reader of all books from fiction to non-fiction.
